The Machine (2023) Film Short Story :
Bert’s smashed past finds him 20 years not too far off when he and his dad are seized by those Bert violated a long time back while tanked on a school semester abroad in Russia.
Excessively sluggish and develop to be a wild satire, excessively light and senseless to be a serious show, the film attempts to be both and in the two cases, misses the mark. While it could be a practical family show and add a validity to the first story, it passes up on the chance to go hard and fast psycho in this “spin-off”, liking rather to be semi-reasonable. There is some beyond ridiculous activity scenes, droll and humor yet it’s seldom amusing and excessively sluggish generally speaking. The lead characters are great and it has some allure, however like reality behind the first story, it doesn’t live up to assumptions.
