Group Leader Veer Pratap Singh (Shah Rukh Khan) is a salvage pilot with the Indian Air Force. In the line of obligation he goes over an abandoned Zaara (Preity Zinta) – a young lady from Pakistan who has come to India to satisfy her proxy moms passing on wish. Veer spares her life and his life is never the equivalent again. After 22 years Saamia Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), a Pakistani basic liberties legal advisor on her first case, gets herself eye to eye with a maturing Veer Pratap Singh. He has mulled in a Pakistan prison cell for a very long time and has not addressed anybody every one of these years. Also, nobody knows why.
